Bill G. Page

Bill G. Page, age 71, passed away Monday morning, Dec. 12, 2005 at his home.

Mr. Page was born Dec. 1, 1934 in Lake View a son of Rebecca Graham Page and the late June C. Page. Mr. Page began a career as a sales representative and district manager for Elanco-Eli Lilly, developing and introducing Treflan and other agriculture chemicals. He was promoted to Elanco International where he was responsible for operations in Pakistan, Japan, and Southeast Asia. He was appointed Director of Elanco products in Italy and assisted many other countries in Europe, Asia, Africa, and the Middle East.

Mr. Page was best known in Loris as the owner-operator of Page Chemical Company which he founded in 1977. He was also Vice President of Sun World Corp. where he conducted extensive business in Nigeria and Kenya. He was an owner of the Esso Club in Clemson, where he graduated in 1956. Mr. Page is the author of an agricultural chemical reference publication titled The Quick Guide. In later years Mr. Page was the warehouse manager for the Twin City Farmers Cooperative. He was also a founder and board member of the Horry County State Bank. Mr. Page is distinguished by his friendship and support to local farmers and his service to the Loris business community.

Survivors include his wife, Mrs. Eleanor Page; his two children, Rhett and Kecia Page; his daughter-in-law, Sheila Page; his grandson, Trevor Page; his mother, Rebecca G. Page; his sister, Faye Hufford; and his extended family, Randy and Jennifer Gibson, Theresa and Steve Cox, Christine and Caroline Gibson, and Elaine Fulwood.
